Description
Type Registration Engineer (ideally with previous experience in the Electricity Supply Industry) required in the Greater Manchester area to assess the fitness for purpose of a range of Primary High Voltage switchgear and related components for use in electrical transmission and distribution networks. To arrange type testing and assess performance results and to collate documentation to support formal type registration of equipment for given applications.
Your job role will involve:
? Assessment of HV switchgear specifications and support documentation to assure suitability for applications.
? Organisation and review of testing to demonstrate satisfactory performance.
? Organisation and maintenance of technical documentation to support type registration of products and systems.
? Liaison with customers to ensure that their requirements have been fulfilled by the components and systems supplied to them.
? Provision of technical support to project delivery engineers for switchgear applications.
You will ideally be someone who has the following:
? Chartered engineering status with a degree in Electrical Engineering
? The applicant will also need a working knowledge of protection systems and UK substation design.
