Description
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced estimator within the sheet metal industry to join one of Loughborough's most established Sheet Metal firms.
ROLE - ESTIMATOR / SALES ESTIMATOR / FABRICATION ESTIMATOR
SECTOR - STEEL FABRICATIONS
BASED - LOUGHBOROUGH, LEICESTERSHIRE
SALARY - circa. £28,000 PER ANNUM
• THE OPPORTUNITY -
We are now inviting applications for an experienced Estimator, preferably with a current or previous working history within Steel Fabrications. Our client, due to continued growth now employ over 150 people on their site based in Loughborough, Leicestershire are now looking to fill this position to work with clients within the construction and engineering industry.
• ABOUT THE ROLE -
Reporting to the Sales Director your main duty will be to ensure that all telephone and written sales enquiries for fabrication work are dealt with courteously and efficiently and to support the Business Development Manager from initial customer targeting through to bid completion, in order to develop new customers within the defined market sectors.
Main Responsibilities will include but not be restricted to -
- Prepare quotations for labour and materials from detailed fabrication drawings, quickly and efficiently
- Provide any detailed information such as sketches and profile templates together with the appropriate internal paperwork
- Order material as necessary to meet the customers needs and monitor progress against delivery time-table
- Promote the Company's image wherever possible and so generate more business
- Carry out any other reasonable tasks which are deemed within the job-holders capabilities and required by management
• ABOUT YOU -
- Ideally you will have a background in engineering with a sound understanding and working knowledge of mechanical production, fabrication and welding
- Have previous experience and clear communication skills in dealing with clients and customers of all levels to maintain the companies "Customer Service" focus
- Have a flexible attitude and be able to understand the Company's engineering capabilities
- Work well in a team environment and respond with initiative and be pro-active in pressurised situations
- Be responsive and keep up to date with the company's engineering processes and resources
