Description
An international automotive design consultancy has an urgent requirement for a number of experienced Body in White Designers and Closure Designers to work on a prestigious new model programme based in Italy.
AUTOMOTIVE BIW DESIGN ENGINEERS – CONTRACT
CATIA V4
Pay rate: Euro 40-50 per hour ( Limited Company )
Location: Italy
Duration: 6 - 12 months
Design and detailing of automotive BIW (Body in White) upper body and under body structural components, closures and systems working on concept programmes through detail design and development and into production release. Management of product development including generation of programme targets and delivering products into production readiness.
Skills required:
o Experience in automotive Body In White (BIW) sheet metal design encompassing either closures, upper-body or under-body structures.
o Experience with alternative materials (aluminium, SMC, etc) preferred
o CAD Background with CATIA V4 experience
o Experience with OEM engineering standards, release systems, and processes
o Experience with sheet metal low volume / prototype manufacturing and assembly processes
o Experience with APQP Documentation generation (DFMEA, DVP&R, etc.)
o Strong people management skills
o Strong organizational skills
o Strong communication skills
o Proven self starting / self motivating characteristics
Our client is a major international automotive component and systems integrator working with a leading automotive OEM on a new Body in White ( BIW )product development programme. Initial contract assignments will be initially for 6 months.
These positions are available to work in Italy Europe. Rates of pay will vary depending upon experience in the range of Euro 40 –50 per hour.
Some of these requirements will require an immediate availability to start work in Italy within one week. Others may be able to work notice from existing commitments.
Future contract requirements will include a Senior CAD Design Engineer/ Leader,Senior CAE Liaison Engineer and Automotive Electrical Engineer.
