 Working with this company you will have the opportunity to works on some of the most exciting and varied projects in the Oil and Gas industry Due to continued growth an opportunity exists for a Principal Structural Engineer with previous experience in offshore structures to join the Oil and Gas team based in the Aberdeen office Responsibilities Supervision of structural engineering consultancy work for all types of offshore structures including fixed floating and subsea Maintain and develop client relationships Ensure the provision of efficient high quality structural engineering Meet cost and time targets to assist Atkins process in delivering high quality consultancy services to oil/gas industry clients Preparation of prequalification responses proposals and tenders Preparation of business and marketing plans Cost tracking and responsibility for invoicing Qualifications: Good (Honours) degree in Civil Structural or Offshore Engineering CEng status Extensive experience in structural engineering particularly offshore structural engineering Finite Element analysis Understanding of wave loading and vessel motions Good report writing skills Project management experience Excellent presentation skills Ability to cope rapidly with challenging problems Experience in advanced finite element analysis Experienced user of the following software: ABAQUS SESAM USFOS ASAS Personal Skills Potential to progress to Chief Engineer Travel to other company sites may be necessary Offshore survey visits may be required occasionally Applicants for this position must have the right to work in the UK without restriction Rewards and Benefits 25 days annual leave Flexible annual leave scheme Defined Contribution Pension Scheme Employee Assistance Programme Share Incentive Plan Employee Car Purchase Scheme Life Assurance Scheme Discounted healthcare scheme For further information please contact: Ewan Quinn at Reed Energy on 0117 9060003 ewan quinn@reed co uk |
