GRADUATE ENGINEERS - TECHNICAL OPERATIONS Bedfordshire Salary: £18-22 000 pa (Depending on experience) + benefits (FULL RELOCATION PACKAGE IF APPROPRIATE) PLEASE NOTE: CANDIDATES APPLYING FOR THIS POSITION WILL NEED TO QUALIFY FOR FULL UK SECURITY CLEARANCE AND SHOULD THEREFORE BE OF BRITISH NATIONALITY AND CURRENTLY RESIDE IN THE UNITED KINGDOM Our client is a UK defence contractor engineering company conducting a wide variety of activities for the MoD and prime contractors including platform integration design and manufacture systems engineering and technology research The Technical Operations function is responsible for the engineering and research over a wide span of disciplines covering a diverse range of defence systems and technology projects Brief Job Description: Technical Operations require a number of Graduate Engineers to support the fast developing portfolio of projects Over an 18 months to two year period the selected candidates will be offered assignments to a variety of positions across the four Business Streams; Platform Integration Sustainment Special Projects and Systems&Technology These assignments will where possible match degree subject(s) and any relevant previous employment to the work of the Business Area It is anticipated that the majority of graduate entrants will experience more than one different project spanning different types of activity in different Business Areas Occasionally however graduates on joining the company already have a good idea about the type of work and/or environment in which they would like to forge their early career Such individuals may be allocated to a specific area in which they are able to satisfy that aspiration The candidate should be a recent graduate in a numerate or technical discipline and should be innovative pragmatic and adaptable in their approach Excellent IT communication and interpersonal skills are required and the candidate should be able to work effectively under their own initiative or as part of a larger team Experience of a technical engineering placement or employment within the UK defence industry would be an advantage Essential Experience and Qualifications: A graduate in a numerate or technical discipline likely to be Maths Physics Material Chemistry or Engineering Good technical report writing skills and the ability to present summary findings to a high standard Familiar with MS Windows and standard desktop publishing software such as MS Office Additional Desired Experience and Qualifications: Experience of working within a technical engineering discipline preferably in a defence related environment Knowledge of the UK defence industry Postgraduate qualifications in any relevant discipline will be viewed favourably An understanding of Systems Engineering would also be an advantage If you wish to be considered for this position please send your CV to Delaney Ditchfield Engineering & Technical Recruitment Delaney Ditchfield Recruitment - Specialising in Sales Marketing Admin and Engineering jobs across the UK |
