Description
Handling projects from £1m to upwards of £20m, providing commercial leadership on a range of engineering contracts Offshore and Renewable Energy markets and also Motor and Generator manufacture. These roles involve co-ordinating design teams to meet project objectives and providing the key customer interface to ensure delivery of these prestigious contracts on time, and to budget.
Lead and direct project teams on individual projects, driving progress against a project programme.
Register, compile, submit and negotiate extensions of time and extras to contracts.
Ensure that contract control procedures are complied with and are maintained as required.
Act as the main interface with the Customer on all matters.
Be responsible for achieving project financial targets set by management
Carry out project reviews
Requirements
The ideal candidates will be qualified to HNC/Degree level in an engineering or commercial subject and have at least 5 years experience within Project Management. A proven successful track record in managing projects, commercial issues, claims and counter claims from customers and being able to critique a project from a financial view and carry out a thorough financial review are essential.
Personal Attributes
To succeed in this role, you will need to be a dedicated team-player with a high standard of communication, planning and presentation skills. In addition, strong commercial ability and a pro-active, decisive approach are essential. A full, clean driving licence and a willingness to undertake overseas travel are also required
