PROJECT CO-ORDINATOR
AUTOMOTIVE
ALTON, HAMPSHIRE
A Project Co-ordinator is now required at this world leader in the design and manufacture of electric motors and revolutionary new wheel motors for the automotive and allied industries based in Alton, Hampshire. This will be a key role, working to build a revolutionary, motorised golf cart.
Reporting to the General Manager the Project Co-ordinator will co-ordinate the activities of a multi-disciplined team of four with electronic, software and mechanical skills. You will supervise the product from signed-off prototype to manufacture, through approval testing. You will be responsible for the project plan.
Ideally degree qualified in a relevant subject, the successful candidate should be capable of being hands-on as well as effective in a more strategic co-ordinating and facilitating role covering manufacture to agreed timescales. Manufacturing of the golf cart will take place in China and as a result visits to the factory will be necessary. You will liaise with internal design, procurement and manufacturing teams and external suppliers and clients.
You will have prior experience of product development and production and working and also ideally with battery-driven motors. Your background will include a history of project co-ordination and running a small, multi-disciplined team. Prior knowledge of the China market and especially manufacturing would also be highly advantageous.
