Job Description
This well known in-house organisation is a statutory body which is a corporate trustee and administrator of four pension schemes, including both defined benefit and defined contribution pensions scheme arrangements. Reporting directly to the Head of Pensions Development, they are looking for a talented Pensions Systems Administrator on a fixed term contract for 2 years. The main responsibility of this job will be to develop, maintain and support the pension administration system. You will also be involved in the training and handover of new developments to the administration teams, calculation development, user support and special projects. To be successful in this position, you will need to have an in depth knowledge and experience of technical pensions matters and their application to the work of a department. Experience of modern Pensions administration system and an in depth knowledge of Microsoft Office to include practical experience using complex macros in Office applications and using Excel and Access in conjunction with Word in production of mail merges. Practical experience in using SQL and VBA would be helpful but not essential. Good written and verbal communication skills as well as being logical and numerate are a must have. The successful Pensions Systems Administrator will be from either a TPA or in-house pensions background and preferably be APMI / QPA qualified or have made considerable progress. This position would suit a Senior Pensions Administrator with experience of Excel MACROS and project management skills.
