Job Description
Interim School Accountant required to work for a local authority based on the outskirts of Manchester. Reporting into the Group Accountant and managing a team of 6 staff, the main purpose of your role will be to support the delivery of an integrated, robust financial planning process by the provision of high quality, accurate, timely and relevant information. You will ensure that all strategic and operational plans are supported by the provision of high quality, timely and relevant information and rigid investment appraisals.
You will be CCAB qualified or have proven previous experience of working within Children and Young People services. Having a good understanding of the funding conditions of the dedicated school grants along with experience of completing statutory returns(EG Section 52) would be a great advantage.
This is an exciting opportunity to work for one of the UK's leading Local Authorities based just on the outskirts of Greater Manchester. They have recently gone through a complete restructure of the finance and now have a stable division apart form this one post which is currently being recruited for as a permanent post.
Only applicants with a suitable amount of UK based finance experience and who have a legal right to work within the UK will be considered.
