Excellent contract opportunity on the South Coast!!! There is a contract opportunity for an IT Security Consultant/ Interim Security Manager to assist with a Security Review and Update within the NHS.

IT Security expertise is a must but NHS experience is not necessary. The Review and Update is to assist the department to create action plans on any physical security requirements but to actually update/ re- write the policies and procedures that are required by the Department. The following will be covered in the review:- General IT Areas, Policies and Procedures, Information Governance Toolkit

The Security Standard ISO9001 will be considered at all points in this review to ensure that the Trust would meet this Security Standard. The individual needs to also be ITIL qualified.

As part of the conclusion of this work the IT Services Department would like to understand the annual checks/ updates that should be put in place to keep the department up to date with their security standards. The IT Security expert will help to review the current status and assist with the creation of action plans to ensure the Trust has full IT Security coverage for the following areas:

Physical Security including Network Security
Security of Data Transfer of Secure / Confidential data
Guidance on the Regular Checks
System Penetrate Checks including how to identify if and where we are being targeted
Update the IT Risk Register as issues are identified during the Review/ Update
