A Brand new 115 Bedroom Hotel in Peterborough City Centre is Opening December 2008. They require an experienced and dedicated Food And Beverage Manager to help them bring this New Hotel together and lead it through the opening. This is a high quality Branded concept hotel with a focus on Business and leisure guests, Meeting rooms and a 70 seater Restaurant as well as a Bar and Room service will fall under the jurisdiction of the Food And Beverage Manager.
Job Description
You will be responsible for the training, development and recruitment of the Food and Beverage team, in accordance with rules and structure regulations laid out by the General Manager. Day to day running of the Food and Beverage department will including dealing with staff and customers on a ad-hoc basis and motivating your team to ensure they continue to deliver excellent service and attention to detail.
As this is a new hotel, sales will form a large part of the Food and Beverage Managers role, with focuses on getting new business in and developing relationships with customers in order to secure repeat business. A clear understanding of Budgets and working towards KPI's is a must. You will be required at times to take on aspects of an Operations Manager role, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced FandB Manager to learn new Operational Management skills and develop their career.
Required Experience
*Outstanding Communication skills are essential, both in relation to customers, management and staff reporting into you.
*Capable of leading a team of at least 30 people, with experience at a similar level within at least a 3* environment.
*Food and Beverage background is essential with a proven track record of delivering high business turnover and excellent customer service.
*A Good understanding on profit and loss accounts and sales management within the Food and Beverage Department.
Salary
The starting salary for this role is 25 - 28,000 dependent on experience. There is a company bonus scheme available to all successful applicants and other company benefits and fantastic career opportunities.
