Sales and Partnership Marketing Intern (Fall 2008) - ISC Motorsports (Daytona Beach, FL)

Reports To: Partnership Marketing or Sales Supervisor
Note: This is a stipend internship. Candidates are responsible for their own housing and associated expenses for the duration of the internship.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
· Assist the Sales and Partnership Marketing (PM) teams with all day to day duties and responsibilities
· Work directly with the 12 tracks and eight business units to keep up-to-date inventory/category reports for our teams to refer to when proposing potential sponsorship opportunities
· Assist the PM team in preparing year-end recaps for partners
· Assist the Marketing Coordinator in assigned duties, including preparing contract toplines/overviews for internal distribution
· Cross-train with the PM and Sales team and other business units to gain knowledge and understanding of ISC as a whole
· Attend weekly staff meetings and track update calls and provide recaps during monthly update meeting
· Organize team assets to make sure all relevant information is in one location; including track maps, event logos, credential and parking breakdowns for each track, artwork deadlines, sales reports, etc.
· Assist the PM team in the planning of annual partner functions, at track facilities during the season
· Provide updated industry research to relevant team members on businesses that are currently investing in NASCAR or sports marketing by utilizing industry related websites
· Work directly with PM account managers on managing a number of key accounts
· Research leads for Sales team to prospect for potential sponsorship opportunities
· Work with Sales team on pricing and writing proposals for potential sponsors
· Work event weekends, as required, with PM and Sales team to see the day-to-day operations of an event weekend. Out of state travel may be required.
· Work with Innovations Team on building case studies, recaps, videos, brochures, etc. for ISC marketing purposes
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
· Junior, Senior or graduate-level students or recent college graduates
· Management, Marketing, Sports Administration, Communications or related business majors preferred
· Strong written and verbal skills and must have strong working knowledge in Microsoft Word, Powerpoint and Excel
· Availability to work a minimum of 20 hrs. (maximum of 40 hrs) a week during non-event time and all weekend during events
· Ability to work independently and communicate efficiently and effectively with internal and external clients
· Ability to prioritize, multi-task and maintain confidential information
