Top Tier Investment Bank is currently seeking a ++Architect Developer in London on initially a 3 month contract.  

Role: To design develop and support front office quantitative analysts using Clients standards and procedures in project management & change management. Developing applications using C++, Visual Studio.Net, C#, 

Duties: 

·         Handling development support issues and related project assignments. e.g.  Numerical libraries, interfaces.

·         Preparation of regular status reports (project progress and problem management) on systems developments and any other related issues.

·         Provide assistance and support with on-going developments or other projects where specific systems or Business knowledge is required.

·         Analysis, design, programming and implementation of system requirements as defined and prioritised by the Projects/Developments System.

·         Handling of projects/developments, in terms of maintaining business developments using C++, C# and assisting in the software distribution to other Units.

·         Adherence to “Change Management” procedures in terms of versioning controls and movement of objects from QAC to production systems.

·         Supervise the testing, user sign-off and transfer to the production environment.

·         Resolving queries assigned and trouble shooting real-time operational problems and escalating as necessary.

·         Escalate any development issues which may impact production environments or other third party products to management.

·         Participate in the periodic review of system projects/developments and problem management/escalation issues. 

Requirements: 

Essentials:

 ·         Must have Front Office development  knowledge and understanding of Quantitative Analysis/Modelling

·         Interfacing experience using COM or Webservices

·         Recognised Training in relevant programming tools/technologies and Certification

·         Knowledge/experience of integration into MS/Excel.

·         Excellent Change Management experience covering multiple hardware and software deployment.

·         Must have exposure to working and delivering to tight deadlines and within budget.

·         Excellent business banking knowledge.

·         Analytical Reasoning Skills

·         Excellent Project Management skill in handling multi development project streams.

·         Visual Studio.Net using C# and Experienced C++ Developer in a Windows or Unix environment.

·         Good understanding of COM layer

·         Practical experience of using Change Management tools.

·         Good understanding of Microsoft .Net framework and IDE.

·         Ability to work in a team environment but can still make independent decision.

·         Self-motivating with ability to follow through taking ownership of problems

·         Wrapping Numerical Libraries using C++

·         Reuter/Bloomberg real time rates, DDE 

Desirables: 

·         FX /FX Options understanding – desirable

·         Murex Flex API exposure

·         Java, J2E

·         Websphere Application Developer/RAD/RSA

·         MKS/Subversion Change Management tools

·         Database design experience.    

·         Degree or equivalent in IT or other related discipline

·         Banking related qualifications

·         Websphere MQ or other messaging technologies like Tibco.

·         SOA experience

·         Database exposure, Sybase, SQL for example.
