Client Profile
This leading UK hotel group is looking to recruit a Meetings & Events Sales Executive to at one of it's central London properties. This 4* hotel is in a popular location and is about to undergo significant refurbishment and re-branding. The hotel comprises 138 bedrooms and 7 meeting rooms, together with a contemporary restaurant and bar.
Job Specification
* Respond to client / agent enquiries within standard time limits, in a professional manner
* Practice efficient and effective yield management of meeting rooms in line with guidelines
* Sell meeting space in line with the different strategies at each hotel
* Prepare contracts accurately and ensure maximum conversion of enquires
* Attend familiarisation trips and internal events as necessary
* Ensure clients receive event orders in advance
* Communicate information in a timely and accurate way to operational departments
* Attend internal meetings as required
* Record all denied business and refer clients to other hotels within the group
* Receive feedback from clients and resolve any disputes / complaints in a professional manner
* Work to departmental guidelines and company standards are adhered to at all times
Person Specification
Candidates should have previous experience in events sales, preferable within the hotel sector. Proactive sales experience and / or experience of a busy events office is desirable. Candidates should demonstrate organised and efficient capability, good attention to detail and an astute understanding of event sales. Candidates should also be well presented, professional and be highly customer oriented.
Remuneration
£22,000 per annum
