Google's software engineers develop the next-generation technologies for which we've become world-renowned. Our projects include working on advanced information-retrieval algorithms, massive scalability and storage solutions, and large-scale applications that enrich the user experience. We also work extensively on networking systems, advertising systems and complex transaction systems in consumer applications.
The role: Software Engineer, Business Products
Join the team that builds the innovative systems to run Google's rapidly growing business. Work on a billion dollar micro-payment system that processes all of Google's revenue. Build applications for Sales that generate hundreds of millions of dollars in additional revenue each year. Design systems that must process large volumes of data, orders of magnitude beyond traditional systems. Take advantage of Google's proprietary hardware and software technologies to build world class solutions for Customer Relationship Management, Billing and Payments, and Data Warehousing. Requirements:- BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science with strong academic performance preferred.
- Experience with Java, C/C++, or other modern programming language.
- Strong interest in writing scalable, high performance applications.
- Experience in Unix/Linux and scripting a plus.
- Track record of "getting things done".
