Job Summary
As “Solution Architect” your primary role will be to work in partnership with clients‘ project team members and business representatives to fully and accurately capture requirements and to propose a systems-based solution to match these requirements including developments of the standard AX software where required. You will then provide guidance to other team members in the build of the designed solution throughout the project lifecyle and support the Programme Manager or Project Manager in the management of scope.
It is anticipated that the Solution Architect will typically have formal (chargeable) project roles on several projects at any time providing high level design and technical authority within the Tectura team.
This role will also involve a direct working relationship with the sales/pre-sales team support campaigns to win new business for Tectura. You will be expected to work closely and flexibly with pre-sales personnel in the design and estimation process of submitting responses to prospects or clients.
Responsibilities
? To design and oversee the documentation of the proposed Dynamics AX based solution, including any developments of the standard software, to meet clients agreed requirements.
? To consider, and propose as appropriate, approved third-party ‚add-on‘ solutions and to ensure, in collaboration with the Programme or Project Manager, that responsibility for all parts of the solution is clearly understood and delegated.
? To ensure that the Tectura team that is mobilised to complete the documentation, build and delivery of the solution are fully briefed and technically competent to complete the task within the estimates produced.
? To carry out regular technical reviews of the status of software configuration and/or development and to provide guidance and raise issues with the Project Manager for escalation as necessary
? To be the responsible person for the capture, documentation and ‚recycling‘ of Tectura Intellectual Property ‚IP‘ working closely with country-based AX Team Leaders and also Marketing personnel.
? To work with Sales, Pre-sales and Project Office team members to ensure that any solution proposed by Tectura is technically feasible and can, with a high degree of confidence, provide the functionality required by the prospect or client meeting any relevant performance requirements.
? To liaise with country-based Tectura personnel and Microsoft personnel and necessary to ensure that we have an appropriate level of participation on any given engagement especially where a solution is‚ breaking new ground in terms of the maturity of the particular functional area or the volume of transactions being processed.
? To support the EEG management team in identifying, interviewing, recruiting and the induction of consultants, working in collaboration with the Dynamics AX Team leader
? You will be educated to follow the Tectura Solution Framework methodology which identifies the best practice processes that are followed to implement Microsoft Dynamics AX solutions.
? To ensure that all necessary documentation of the technical solution is produced and provided to the appropriate Tectura Support Team with training as necessary to enable on-going support to be provided with reduced dependency on project team members over an initial post go-live period after which the solution should be capable of being fully supported by a combination of client and dedicated Tectura Support Team personnel.
? To encourage the use of standard Dynamics AX functionality wherever possible
? Where major developments are to be provided in a particular industry vertical to work with other Tectura and client personnel to incorporate this as a standard product in future releases of Dynamics AX.
Skills & Experience
Technical Skills & Experience
• Proven international experience in ERP implementations
• Experience designing and coordinating multi-site or multi-national implementations.
• 3+ years of full lifecycle Microsoft Dynamics AX implementation experience.
• Microsoft Dynamics AX (formerly Axapta) accreditation.
• Commercial awareness and total dedication to delivering maximum return on investment for our clients.
• Experience with business intelligence tools such as SQL Reporting Services, Business Analytics or Business Scorecard Manager.
• Experience integrating third-party solutions with AX including managing third parties to achieve deliverables on time on budget
• You must have a good understanding of implementation methodology including the management of risk and change
• Experience of using a range of process design tools e.g. ARIS, Intellicorp etc. would be beneficial
• Mentoring skills for resources on the projects you manage and are accountable for.

Working Environment
Since this is an EMEA wide, field-based role it requires travel and work time flexibility. Whilst it may not always be the case, it should be assumed that this will involve staying away from home throughout the week.
It would be anticipated that the majority of time will be spent on client site within the EMEA region.
