Generates test plans and procedures, and execute tests to verify the implementation of customer requirements for automated meteorological systems. Sets up equipment required for the testing environment. Conducts software testing integrated on Windows-based workstations, Ethernet, satellite receivers, and interoperability with other military digital systems. Work with developers to troubleshoot issues. Prepares test reports for hardware integration and software functionality, including security, systems acceptance, and software verification tests.
Job Qualifications:
Must have knowledge of software, hardware, network architecture, and protocols. Experience using Windows based operating systems, and Microsoft Office software required. Network certification and wireless communication knowledge is desirable. Knowledge and experience in developing and utilizing technical documentation desired. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Familiarization with communication security, hardware engineering, Cisco router equipment, database development, and programming/ scripting knowledge of various languages (C++, Java, Windows, and Unix shell scripts) desirable. Knowledge of business quality process development/improvement such as CMMI, ISO, and Six Sigma is beneficial. BS in electrical engineering, computer science, mathematics, or related discipline is required. Recent graduates may be considered for this position. Must be a US citizen and able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
