Qualifications : • The ideal candidate will have junior to mid-level programming experience in distributed software development, with a solid, hands-on background in application design, coding, testing, implementation, and ongoing maintenance support. They must be a team player with strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, and customer support skills. They should demonstrate the ability to learn different technologies quickly and effectively. Candidate must be able to work independently under tight deadlines and be available to provide user support, especially during peak testing periods.
• Primary Skill Set: Demonstrated distributed platform experience in Visual Basic, VBScript, Visual Basic for Applications, Database development (SQL Server, Oracle), WAS, J2E, Web/Java and automated testing tools such as TestPartner or WinRunner is required.
• Secondary Skill Set: Demonstrated experience is also a plus in C++, PERL and Unix Scripting. Some mainframe experience is also plus.
• Applications experience with Managed Care, Pharmacy Benefits Management, Claims Processing, Member Accounts Receivables, Customer Service, Finance, Adjustments and Eligibility is preferred.
• Software development environment includes:
o Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows Server 2003, Microsoft Office suite including Word/Excel/Powerpoint/MS Project/Visio, Visual Basic, Unix
o Data Bases: Oracle, MS Access and SQL Server
o Automated Testing Tools: QA Center Portal and TestPartner

Primary job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Working within Medco’s CMI/SLDC process model for Analysis, Construction and Transition, the candidate will be responsible for designing, programming, testing, and supporting new testing tools that will be used by the Applications and QA teams. These tools will automate much of the manual/labor intensive testing, and will yield productivity and cost savings within these areas.
• Partner and work closely with the development and user support teams to gain a thorough understanding of how their applications work, including input/output drivers, related system interfaces, environment/infrastructure settings, and operational constraints. Review and analyze the Functional Requirement Documents (FRD) and gain consensus on the tools scope and operating limits.
• Design and recommend automated test solutions, including preparing the Technical System Design (TSD) and test plan documents needed for construction.
• Perform programming tasks within the bounds of the TSD, including coding, executing test scripts, performing functional/regression/stress testing to ensuring that the software meets functional and system requirements.
• Prepare user documentation, product demos, and provide smooth transition of automated tool to the application and QA testing areas.
• Maintain and support TSG's portfolio of cross-platform automated data and testing tools
