The ideal candidate for this position will enjoy working on projects in a fast-paced, team oriented environment. Required is a very strong experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Windows 200x and SMTP messaging using Microsoft Exchange Server 200x in a Front end/Back end environment. Exchange 2007 and VMware experience is a plus for this Network Engineer position. You will also be responsible for resolution of network systems, operating system and server application troubleshooting. Ideal candidate must have solid foundations on Windows server fundamentals, networking, TCP/IP, DNS, WINS, DHCP, Compaq/HP server technology, Microsoft Clusters, IIS web service and remote access infrastructure technology. A working understanding of Network Load Balancing devices and any Microsoft Back Office Suite servers will be helpful

• Primary task is to architect, design, maintain and manage an enterprise wide Active Directory 2000/2003 infrastructure. Large-scale Windows 200x/Exchange 200x Environment and troubleshoot and resolve production problems in a timely manner.
• Recommend, plan for implementing server hardware/software upgrades in an Active Directory, Exchange 200x server farm with minimal downtime.
• Ensure the development and use of an effective preventive maintenance program suitable to meet the operation objective of "99.99% availability".
• Responsible for proactively managing and optimizing Exchange sites and systems.
• Assists in planning, designing and implementing a high quality production environment.
• Assists in evaluating, recommending, and selecting equipment, services and vendors.
• Maintain and update documentation of the computing environment.
• Travel to Esurance datacenters and offices for the deployment of the server architecture.
• As a member of the team you will respond to all system problems on a 7X24 basis and take part in on-call rotation.

Minimum 5 years hands-on experience on system administration skills, server build and server troubleshooting in co-location environments. Solid understanding of LAN/WAN technologies and software tools for performance monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Minimum 3 years hands-on experience in a mission-critical production environment of 100+ servers using Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Windows 200x, Exchange 200x, SQL Server, MS Clusters, ESX Server and IIS Web Server.
• Minimum 3 years hands-on experience with enterprise-grade monitoring system, such as NetIQ is preferred.
• Must have hands-on experience with designing and setting up multi-domain Active Directory, LANs, Windows 2000 or 2003, Exchange 2000 or 2003/2007. Also migration experience is required.
• Solid background on TCP/IP networking and troubleshooting in a Microsoft Windows networking environment
• Experience setting policies, procedures, network software and hardware standards, documentation standards.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory GPO's and LDAP, Windows 2000 minimum (2003 desired)
• A minimum of 5 years of server build, server troubleshooting and server administration Skills required: Active Directory 2000/2003, Microsoft SMS experience, Windows 200x, Exchange 200x, IIS, Compaq/HP server technology and scripting language such Java Script or VB Script is preferred. Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Computer Science or equivalent job experience. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Microsoft: MCSE on Windows 2000 or later.
