Job DescriptionJob Title:Global Sourcing Assistant

Reports to:Global Sourcing Coordinator

Responsible for: (e.g. no. of direct reports/ store team etc)

Division: Global Sourcing

Overall Purpose

This position actively assists the global sourcingteam in their execution of supply chain strategy and coordination of the department.

Responsibilities

Set up styles in system.
Monitor and maintain accuracy of data within the system, throughout the season, following buying meetings and range reviews.
Raise PO’s for production & prepare for supervisor’s sign-off
Maintain PO’s in SAP.
Print/Email both bulk, sample, seconds and over-make SPO’s to vendors, as well as generating swing tickets for the above.
Ensure that all data held within system or final range is confirmed with vendors, to ensure accuracy of data held within system. Also deal with any price file queries from finance. Liaise with finance with regards to ginning queries and discrepancies.
Ensure that all vendors receive necessary raw materials and trims in order to enable to deliver goods on agreed ex-factory date.
Create planners, follow up deliveries with vendors and run weekly SAP delivery reports.
Act as a liaison between vendor and QA with regards to all QA issues.
Responsible for raising letters of credit, where required, prior to approval by Manager/Supervisor, as well as checking prices on LOC once goods are shipped.
Follow up with Product Development for outstanding BOM information.
Act as the main point of contact for the suppliers on a day-to-day basis, ensuring suppliers are kept up to date with regards to key dates etc.
Preparation of data on both a routine and ad hoc basis, in order to ensure that any issues that may affect on-time delivery of goods are raised at the earliest opportunity.
Essential Experience

Experience in production/manufacturing of accessories.
Preparation of data on both a routine and ad hoc basis.
Highly proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, (PLM and SAP experience beneficial).
Organized, efficient, self-motivated, solution-oriented individual.
Ability to react to change.
Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
Detail oriented with strong follow through.
