| Description: | The Healthcare Analyst is responsible for the data collection and analysis of health plan utilization, participation, impact, outcomes and financial trend information. This includes preparing financial/utilization reports and analyzing the data for outliers and trends. It involves both planned and interactive retrieval of data from claims, program reporting, and clinical program databases, and preparation of ad hoc reports to meet the needs of clients and internal departments in a timely and accurate manner. | Qualifications: | Minimum BA or BS degree in healthcare related field or liberal arts with an analytic background. Minimum two to five years experience in an analytic capacity, preferably in the healthcare or insurance industry. Requires PC skills including Microsoft Access, Excel, Crystal Reports, and the ability to use various automated reporting systems. Must have strong quantitative and analysis and problem solving skills, and be very detail oriented. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be self-directed and a team player, willing to assist above normal workload at key times. |
