Java Developer - New role - Digital TV Job

Java Software Engineer required by THE market leader in end-to-end solutions to the digital broadcast TV industry. As a Java Developer, you will be working in the R&D division which focuses on server-side software. The group researches new products and solutions in entertainment metadata as well as providing solutions to enable global broadcasters and broadband operators to take advantage of the opportunities offered by IPTV. Working with other highly motivated and enthusiastic Java programmers, you will participate in customer driven projects and drive the strategic direction of future product developments in an open and challenging environment where you are encouraged to contribute to the future of the company. Future opportunities exist to progress in either a technical or managerial career path in a variety of roles. For the Java Software Engineer role, you will have commercial Java development experience with strong commercial experience of Object Orientated (OO) design and development of complex applications. The company has an increasing interest in agile development methodologies so experience in this area would be beneficial.
