What You'll Do
Successful candidate will support a dynamic software / system development team that is providing services to the National Air & Space Intelligence Center (NASIC). The Integrated Overhead Nonimaging Infrared (ONIR) Tasking, Processing, Exploitation, & Dissemination (TPED) System or IOTS is being developed to help address the needs of the NASIC and intelligence community as related to ONIR capabilities. This is an exciting effort that deals with transformation of senor data into useful intelligence that will provide benefits to both national and tactical users. This position is a high visibility position that offers the applicant a challenging and rewarding environment in which to grow.
Candidate will lead the system engineering effort for the IOTS effort. Activities may include:
- Coordination and conduct of requirements and design efforts
- Coordination of resources and personnel within the system engineering team
- Presentation of technical information and conduct of technical interchanges (e.g., Interface Control Working Group)
- Review and update of technical documents
- Interfacing with IPT leads and the NASIC customer
- Conduct of test and integration activities
What You'll Need
Successful candidate will have
- BS in a related technical field is required plus 8 or more years related experience
- Experience working large development efforts
- Knowledge of electro-optical collection systems
- Some knowledge of the U.S. intelligence community
- Experience working with ONIR data and/or products
- Strong communication and networking skills
- Demonstrated job related initiative
- Experience managing requirements and familiarity with the DOORS product
- Software integration and test experience
- Experience with the NGA readiness review process
- Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts in a simple and clear manner
- Experience with the process improvement (e.g., CMMI)
- Experience writing and developing proposals
- In addition to the typical educational and experience requirements, a demonstrated capability to adequately perform the essential functions and responsibilities of the position and exhibit the skills and competencies of the grade level will be considered. Each higher level degree, i.e. Master's degree or Ph.D. may substitute for two years of experience. Related experience may be considered in lieu of education.
