Account Executive - Inside Sales
As an Account Executive at Business.com, you will sell some of the most effective advertising on the internet -- Search Engine Advertising has proven ROI. We are looking for self-motivated, career-oriented people interested in driving their own income and taking charge of their own career advancement. You will conduct consultative sales of search engine advertising. You will drive new business, developing profitable long-term client relationships, calling on our highly qualified lead list.
Responsibilities
- Attain sales quota and goals set by the company.
- Responsible for executing on key phases of the sales cycle such as lead generation, prospecting, reviewing proposals and campaign implementation.

Categorization Analyst
The Categorization Analyst will assist in the development and maintenance of rule sets to be used in automatically identifying products and product attributes on the web. This will require employing a range of information retrieval, automatic classification, and concept extraction technologies.
Responsibilities
- Follow the direction of the Director of Taxonomy to develop, maintain, and optimize rulesets to be used in automatically identifying products and product attributes on the web.
- Collaborate as appropriate with other members of the Taxonomy team, leveraging specializations within the group as necessary to complete projects.
Skills/Qualifications
- Must know SQL and a basic programming or scripting language such as Perl.
- Experience using regular expressions and boolean logic to retrieve data.
- Strong technical background with advanced MS Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical skills and advanced abilities in logical reasoning.
- Basic understanding of faceted taxonomies, metadata schemas, and thesauri.

Product Manager
The Product Manager is responsible for optimization efforts on website products in the Business.com network. The successful candidate will be primarily focused on optimizing monetization and visitor conversion, including maximizing revenue per visit while improving overall user experience and the number of repeat visitors.
Responsibilities
- Own key product manager performance metrics, including RPV and Visitor Traffic and develop monthly and quarterly goals for improvements in all key metrics
- Leverage site and user performance analytics to develop new product ideas, build a business case for every project, and champion to management for approval and prioritization
- Synthesize key feedback inputs such as brand/market research, consumer segmentation data, usability studies, competitive analysis, user feedback, and site analytics data to develop long term product roadmaps
- Write full technical specification documents for every project and manage product development from conception through development, QA, and launch
Skills/Qualifications
- 2+ years of Product Management experience with a proven track record of success. Ideally, experience garnered while working on leading large-scale consumer internet websites
- Demonstrated experience gathering business requirements, formulating business cases, producing functional product requirements, and delivering high ROI
- Strong leadership, project management and organizational skills
- Results-oriented with a willingness to take responsibility and initiative

Search Marketing Analyst
The Search Marketing Analyst will take the lead in reporting and analysis for Business.com's extensive Search Marketing efforts (Keyword PPC Advertising). The SMA role will be focused on reporting and analyzing program performance trends as well as identifying opportunities for system optimizations. This person should be highly inquisitive, analytical, pro-active, organized and be able to work independently.
Responsibilities
- Take charge of all aspects of core reporting to demonstrate program success, including weekly, monthly and ad hoc reporting. Report program performance to senior executives.
- Monitor and analyze program performance to identify areas of opportunity for system optimization. The candidate must be able to quickly diagnose performance issues and propose and implement solutions.
- Work with engineering resources to develop and QA system enhancements.
- Work with Product, Sales, and Finance departments to develop systems and reports to support company initiatives.
Skills/Qualifications
- 2-3 years experience in analytical activity, preferably financial, online media, advertising or direct marketing environment.
- Strong analytical thinker
- Ability to multitask and meet concurrent deadlines within a fast-paced environment
- Expert in MS Excel
- SQL & database development experience preferred
- Familiarity with online advertising technologies and terminology

Senior Web Designer / Director
The Senior Web Designer / Director creates overall design, user interface and brand imaging for corporate identity and Website. Responsible for overall look and feel of websites and company branding. Defines and advocates design focused on the user.
Responsibilities
- Design concepts and templates for Web properties. Works and advocates to improve user flows, intuitive navigation and ease of finding desired data.
- Create HTML and CSS for design implementation

- Bachelors degree with 4-5 years of web & collateral design, ideally including experience as a lead user interface designer for a large scale commercial website
- Strong Visual Design - illustrations, icons, compelling visual elements, etc
- Experience building standards based XHTML/CSS pages. Javascript and Ajax experience a big plus
- Extensive knowledge Photoshop, Illustrator and other design programs
- Experience working cross functionally with technology, product, marketing and sales teams

The Strategic Account Executive will be responsible for identifying the marketing needs of a wide variety of B2B companies and industries and put together programs for the Featured Listing product; a topic-based, auction priced program.
Responsibilities
- Hit or Exceed quarterly and annual revenue goals
- Cover all Agencies, SEO's, SEM's in territory as well as maintain up to 100 client direct relationships.
- Qualify and answer each prospect's question regarding the BDC service.
- Pursue and manage opportunities through to closure of the sale.
- Face-to-face client meetings as needed.
- Respond to inbound inquiries for information on the product.
- Discuss and convey the benefits/advantages of the BDC product offering.
- Prepare daily and weekly call reports to regional VP as requested.

The Systems Administrator will support our development, QA, and production website infrastructures in a multiple datacenter, 24/7 environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide input to hardware sizing and specification of web and database servers.
- Work closely with other technology and application personnel to understand and implement application requirements, server / network / storage tuning, and configuration changes.
- Consults in design of new applications and services to ensure that they can be supported by the infrastructure.
- Evaluate, diagnoses and establish work plans to resolve system, software and network issues.
