About the Sr. Software Engineer Opportunity

The Infospace India team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to be a part of a dynamic team of developers working on Infospace's platform. You will see huge amounts of data and there will be a lot of challenge to use it for new innovative product developments. Your work will matter: your efforts can and will be readily seen by millions of users worldwide. The India team is an experienced group of smart engineers who work well together in solving challenging problems and come up with innovative solutions. You will be involved all phases of development: architecture & design, prototyping, implementation & testing, analysis & documentation, deployment & support. Flexibility and collaboration, coupled with strong object-oriented design & software development skills are keys to success in this position.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Primary responsibilities include design and development of robust web sites and the backend databases used to power them; implementation in SQL, ASP.NET, C#, and HTML.
• In addition, this position requires the proven ability to design, architect, and implement database solutions in SQL.
• The database solutions will support 100+ millions of rows of data and must be highly scalable.
• Position entails coding, debugging, unit testing, and maintenance of web site. A verifiable track record of developing high quality enterprise software utilizing .NET technology and SQL databases is essential.
• This position requires excellent software design and development skills utilizing object oriented programming.

Required Skills, Education & Experience

• Self-motivated candidate with 4+ years of industry experience in high-traffic consumer web companies.
• Experience in management of website through SEO, SEM technologies and internet advertising is preferred. 
• Strong sense of ownership and result orientation.
• Relevant experience in C#/ Java, RDBMS (preferably SQL Server), Visual Studio 2005. Stored procedures, HTML, SOAP, XML.
• Ability to architect, design, and implement SQL database solution from scratch with large data.
• Ability to analyze data feeds.
• Ability to work in a growing and fast paced environment.
• Should be a B.E/B.Tech / M.Tech from a reputed university and should have good academic background.
