Software Developer - C# / ASP.Net / SQL Server - South Yorkshire. An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Software Developer to join this start-up company on the borders of the M1 / M62 Junction in West / South Yorkshire. Initially the role will involve the development of ‘rapid prototype’ solutions using C#, ASP.net versions 2.0 and 3.0, XML and SQL 2005. Those solutions will need to integrate with ‘back end’ systems using web services and message queuing technologies. These solutions will be implemented using an iterative process with monthly release cycles. Experience or an understanding of this form of methodology would be desirable. Ideally, the candidate will also be able to demonstrate the creative flair, and an understanding of Usability issues, to design and implement visually appealing and effective user interfaces. My client is looking for an individual with the potential to expand into a more consultative or architectural role. Therefore, therefore they are looking for someone with the potential and desire to develop some or all of the following skills: • Provide pre-sales support to Business Development teams, compiling and delivering technology demonstrations and case study presentations, in person and via webex Business analysis and Solution design• Systems integration, such as integration with Sharepoint, using web parts, Dynamics AX or other ERP and business systems• Systems architecture. In particular the ability to articulate and design multi tiered web based architectures.• Technical Project management. In particular, many of our solutions will be implemented in partnership with development teams in the Czech Republic. The potential ability to take ownership of the solution and manage its delivery, in collaboration with the CZ based teams, would be desirable.• Undertake research and work closely with Business Development teams to understand market developments, and to define and build the business case for the continuous evolution of products and solutions.Personal attributes • Strong focus on successful delivery• Open and honest approach, engenders trust amongst colleagues and clients• Prepared to challenge and be challenged around accepted norms and provide alternative approaches• Clear sense of ownership and responsibility• Pragmatic and proactive attitude to achieving resultsThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a company that can offer tangible long term career opportunities.
