Our client is a privately held corporation with 80+ employees, headquartered in downtown San Francisco. They are currently seeking a software engineer with deep experience building rich internet applications with Actionscript 2/3, and/or FLEX. This is someone who can not only program a web application, but can design and architect a framework using industry best-practices while satisfying specific business requirements for performance, reliability, and maintainability. Ideally, this person will have a degree in computer science, and a solid understanding of object oriented development. This person may have also had experience as a Java developer earlier in their career, and fell into, or became intimately interested in Flash, and/or Flex later on.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include the design, development, and implementation of highly interactive, rich media applications based on Adobe Flash, Actionscript 2/3, and Flex.
You must have strong written and oral communication skills, you must be able to learn rapidly and function well in a fast-paced startup environment, and you must be energetic and enthusiastic!
Requirements
• A sharp design/development mind who wants to push the envelope with Flash technology • 4+ years web / interactive development experience • Strong Flash and Actionscript (AS2) skills. AS3 is a plus • Strong foundation in visual/interface design, motion graphics and UI design • Strong knowledge of AJAX, JavaScript, HTML, xHTML, CSS, XML a plus. • Ability to interface well with Flash/Traditional Graphic Designers for look and feel and traditional Engineers for back-end logic/content conversion. • Strong understanding and implementation of OOP methods • Knowledge of Flex 2 a plus • Strong understanding of web services and XML a plus.
