Description of Duties:

The Sub Community Support Specialist will be required to teach memebers independent and community living skills such as: housekeeping, shopping, meal preparation, and personal hygiene. Other duties include teaching the development of functional, interpersonal, family, and coping skills as well as assisting in the development and implementation of a Thresholds Service Plan.

The candidate will also work in cooperation with the psychiatrist and other team members when required.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

High School Diploma/GED
Must meet office of Mental Health Standards as a mental health professional.

Requirements, Responsibilities, and/or Duties Unique to the Position:

Provide direct services to members through group counseling, therapy, case management, job support, crisis intervention, and psycho-social rehabilitation services either in the community or on-site at a Thresholds location.
