Task Description/Responsibilities:
- Provides remote maintenance, troubleshooting and repair for a wide area network (WAN) to include, routers, bridges, switches, Video Teleconferencing units, and VOIP systems.
- Performs test and implements scheduled upgrades to the network.
- Provides on-call after hours support if the need arises

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
AA Degree in a related Technical Discipline

Experience:
Minimum 2 yrs experience performing network troubleshooting and maintenance, installing & maintaining various networking equipment: routers, switches and associated technologies

Specific Experience Requirements:
Required/Essential Skills/Experience:
- Experience with remote monitoring and maintenance equipment.
- Must be willing to be crossed trained on the Client and Server systems and perform remote maintenance, troubleshooting and repair.
- Must have excellent customer service skills and the ability to capture customer calls in a Trouble ticket system.
- Must be willing to support a variable schedule, such as a 6am start time and a 6pm stop time (when needed)
- Knowledge of Sun Server, RAID, UPS, Tape Drives, and Macintosh clients is a plus.
- Demonstrated understanding of, Bridging, AppleTalk, PROMINA, ISDN, TCP/IP, SNMP, and Remedy a plus.

Security Clearance:
- Current TS/SCI
- TS/SCI with current CI or Lifestyle Poly preferred
