Job Description:
Responsible Designer for the design of MUX Product design assemblies:
• Mechanical Design Function: Using Pro-E and PDMS, generate multi-filter (OMUX, IMUX,
Harmonic, channel, pre-select) assembly layouts & detail designs for equipment RF interconnect (WG, GORE) that will mount to comm./web panels, & OMUX panel assemblies. Design any necessary mountings equipment (brackets, heat straps, and mezzaines) which are necessary to mount several filter design types.
• Lead Design function: implement stringent design requirements into a compact filter design, produce filter designs that optimize both mass & thermal limits, considering filter design constraints as related to subassembly designs. Perform extension trade studies in order to meet both electrical & mechanical design requirements.
• Design Project Management function: Leadership skills in overseeing the design & documentation activity flow, scheduling all activities to meet stringent schedule milestones & need dates. Monitor scope of work & find creative time-saving solutions to meet strict budget constraints while maintaining the highest level of quality.
Requires: A.S. in Engineering, Physics and a minimum of 11 years of PRO-E # D modeling experience, to include 7 years of design/engineering, and 6 years of general engineering drawing practices & dimensioning/tolerancing to include knowledge of waveguide design application in relation to both input & output filter designs.
