Description:
Senior Systems Engineer - Communication Systems: Seeking individuals with broad senior level experience in Comms Systems Engineering to provide technical leadership to all development phases of multi-band RF communications terminals that support broad mission requirements within a network-centric environment. Creativity and the ability to perform analyses and simulations using tools such as MATLAB, and MathCAD are needed. Candidates should have 10+ years of experience and a BS or higher degree in electrical engineering (or related discipline). Excellent communications and organization skills are essential to working with customers in defining and developing systems that meet their requirements. A current DoD Secret clearance is required.
Experience is sought in the following areas:
- Development and implementation of VHF/UHF/MW systems
- Knowledge of digital radio communications techniques
- Knowledge of characteristics for various modulation types, and demodulation methods
- Ability to perform system level analyses of:
- RF link performance
- system gain and noise figure
- inter-modulation performance
- antenna performance analyses
- analyses of radio frequency propagation effects
- Knowledge of Wireless networking technologies.
- Familiarity with Software Defined Radio concepts
- EMI, and co-site interference reduction design
