Essential Job Functions: Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Supporting Customers and Epoch employees in the operation and installation of the RIGWATCH instrumentation system and Epoch suite of instrumentation software, including such products as DML logging software, RIGWATCH Explorer, and RigReport.
  • Tracking support issues in a call-tracking system and maintaining the knowledge base.
  • Tier one support for the satellite systems and software.
  • Tier one support for Cisco routers, and wireless units.
  • Helping the Epoch Support Manager identify recurrent issues.
  • Generating technical bulletins, identifying recurrent issues, documenting new software/hardware, and documenting changes to existing software/hardware.
  • Reviewing existing Epoch documentation and updating as necessary.
  • Setting up hardware/software for the purpose of testing new or changed products before they are released to the field.
  • Verifying bugs reported from the field using a test system and reporting those bugs to Epoch Development.
  • Monitor incoming data to corporate myWells.com, to verify data is being received in a timely fashion and is promptly processed and displayed for customers and internal viewing.

    Requirements: Experience
    • Support level knowledge of the Windows XP operating system.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Access, etc…).
    • Technical writing skills.
    • Working knowledge of networking and networking equipment.
    • Working knowledge of electronics as it applies to oilfield instrumentation.
    • Any knowledge of drilling rig operations and rig instrumentation will be viewed positively.
    Education and Training
    • High School Education minimum
    • Additional domain specific training or experience a plus.

    • Prompt, dependable, flexible, organized, motivated, assertive, and able to work on a deadline basis.
    • Must have strong electronic and phone communication skills.
