The Morningstar Associates business unit is looking for a self-motivated and client-focused candidate for a Quality Assurance Analyst position. This position reports to the client team leader and develops client plans and scripts as well as executes testing projects. The Quality Assurance Analyst will complete client testing projects and other QA tasks on deadline, develop test plans, test scripts, and QA documentation, and execute manual, scenario-based testing on multiple platforms for multiple advice products simultaneously. The position will create and review data in XML files for purposes of troubleshooting data-related issues and verifying correct test results and track and monitor product defects. In addition, the Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for the daily QA of managed accounts and other files, coordinates with product development and/or programming teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues and defects, and ensures that product releases follow project specifications. It is also critical for this role to assist client teams and Morningstar product support in resolving reported issues and conduct internal QA meetings with developers, product development, and methodology teams. Qualified applicants should have one or more years of quality assurance experience and strong project management and prioritization skills. A proven track record of client relationship skills, preferably in the financial industry, and excellent writing, communication, and analytical skills are also important. The successful candidate will possess sharp attention to detail, a willingness to do what it takes to meet objectives, and the ability to multi-task. In addition, the position requires good understanding of Web technology and XML. Some programming experience and knowledge of retirement industry would be beneficial but not required.
