Position Overview

Linear Technology is seeking an analog IC design engineer for our Milpitas location.



This group designs integrated circuits for a variety of power supply protection and control applications. Examples include overvoltage transient protection, hot swap circuits, power supply monitoring and supervision, power supply tracking and sequencing, and interface products such as RS485 transceivers and I2C products.



Your responsibilities would include:

• Helping to define new products.
  
• Designing and simulating integrated circuits.
  
• Guiding the circuit layout and test plan development for production.
  
• Evaluating silicon performance.
  
• Analyzing characterization data.
  
• Writing the device datasheet and presenting your product to customers.
  
• Assisting the support of customer applications.
  

Required Skills

The ideal candidate would meet the following requirements:

• BSEE with 5+ years experience, MSEE with 3+ years experience, or PhD
  
• Strong educational or industrial background in analog circuit design
  
• Experience with bipolar and CMOS IC design
  
• Proven track record of products put into production
  
• Ability to work independently
  
• Good writing and communication skills
