Bring your collaborative focus as you work with IT and other Business Analysts from Claims, Medical Informatics and Network Management. You'll serve as a resource to enhance our analytical and reporting capabilities, particularly as you review the cost of health care analysis and quality improvement, enhance operations and address identified issues.

Qualifications:
Responsibilities:

• Delivers statistical analysis, data modeling and recommendations on specific courses of action.
• Conducts competitor and benchmarking analyses.
• Develops solutions for clinical data needs through the design and modification of database applications.
• Designs new and evaluates existing data extracts against business needs to enhance reporting and data mining capabilities.
• Partners with business units to isolate root causes of data integrity issues and implement corrective action.
• Identifies problems and works closely with other Analysts to develop improvements, modifications and enhancements.
• Mentors staff.
• Develops, communicates and trains users on guidelines, methods and procedures for new products, services or programs as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's with 5+ years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Background translating health plan business requirements into technical requirements, including the assessment of usefulness, reliability and cleanliness of data from multiple sources.
• Demonstrated strength in reconciling business processes to analytical results.
• Ability to partner with all levels of management and present technical information to non-technical audiences, including senior decision makers.
• Strong decision making, organizational, planning and problem solving skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Extensive knowledge of relational databases and statistical analysis software.
• Knowledge of health plan operations and systems specific to medical operations/utilization management and claims processing preferred.
• Experience with SQL, SAS, Crystal and Oracle software preferred.
