Overview:

Our Global Account Director will manage key global accounts.

 

A global account is one that has strategic importance to the achievement of Aspen Technology's corporate objectives, pursues integrated and coordinated strategies on a worldwide basis, and demands globally integrated products/services. The Global Account Director will be responsible for managing all activities related to planning, execution and measurement of sales performance of the account on a WW basis.



Responsibilities:

Responsiblities include:

  • Ensure a yearly global account operating plan is established, and the license revenue, service bookings, as defined in the plan, are met.
  • Becoming a true strategic partner with the account:
    • Creating a relationship goverance model
    • Achieving global coverage
    • Developing and growing executive relationships
    • Driving all AT offerings into the account
    • Acquiring and maintaining CIO sponsorship
    • Delivering/demonstrating value
    • Anticipating change in the account
    • Publicizing success
  • Resource and manage a successful global account team to assist in the delivery of the operating plan.
  • Establish a strategic account plan, and ensure the successful execution of that plan to achieve the account strategic objectives. 
  • Establish global account team leadership processes which should include management of core team.
  • As a member of the sales management team, assess present and potential marketplace changes, contribute to overall global account business planning and continued penetration of account, to deliver corporate objectives with respect to global account.

 



Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have experience as a Director of Sales (or equivalent title) with a proven track record of successful global selling of engineering and manufacturing IT offerings to the oil and chemical industries.  Extensive experience selling enterprise class software (ERP, SCM, MES, etc) to C-level executives. 

 

The Global Account director will be highly motivated, entrepreneurial type who is attracted to a challenging opportunity.  This individual should have a network of C-level contacts, customers, sales reps, and partners in addition to industry relationshiops.  The ideal canidate must have

This is a roll-up-the sleeves senior level position where the individual has a major impact by way of his/her business knowledge, deep sales expertise, technical experties along with entrepreneurial spark, passion, drive and motivation for driving large deals.
