      <description>I am currently working with a Global Consultancy who are looking to add a Senior Electrical / Power Systems Engineer to their team in London.    They are a Globally recognisable consultancy offering an excellent chance to work for a market leader and have a variety of different projects to work with.  The role will include supporting meetings with the client, contractors and other designers. Site visits will also be required to monitor whether the construction is in accordance with the design and to resolve site queries.  As an integral member of the Power Systems Team candidates will support the team in develop conceptual designs for electrical distribution systems from EHV, HV, MV to Low Voltage incorporating high voltage equipment, generation equipment, UPS plant, low voltage switchgear and power control and monitoring systems.  Additional duties will be include (but not be limited to):    Site surveys and Client archive research to extract data for Electrical System Studies   Tabulation of data to enable system modelling.   Building of Electrical Simulation Studies within specialist software packages   Running system studies.   Carrying out protection discrimination studies utilising specialist software   Tabulation of system study results for report purposes.   Carrying out single point of failure analysis studies on client installations Attend factory acceptance and on site commissioning sessions as necessary   Attend on-site Integrated Systems tests as- required.  Candidates ideally should have obtained Chartered Engineer status, or have obtained the necessary qualifications and be progressing their experience levels that will lead to CIBSE and/or IET membership.   The applicant will have solid post graduate experience in the design of HV, MV and major LV power distribution systems. Particular experience in the specification, assessment and configuration of major electrical plant is an essential component of the individual&#x27;s capabilities. Experience with system modelling, simulation and resilient system design would be a significant advantage.  The company are offering a highly competitive salary to attract the best candidates.
